THE GREAT ARVANITAS ARISTIDH KOLA

“Plaku i Moresë” u lind më 3 prill 1770 poshtë një peme në Mesininë e vjetër. Që në rini u bë kaçak nëpër male.
Gjithë jeta e Kollokotronit rrjedh midis arvanitasve, qofshi mysliman apo të krishterë. Kollokotroni ishte bërë vëlla me të krishterin, Marko Boçarin, dhe me një mysliman, Ali Farmaqin. Ushtarët e Kollokotronit ishin arvanitas nga Morea, dhe nga Çamëria.
Epiteti “Kollokotron” është përkthimi i sakt i shprehjes arvanitase “Byth-Gura” dhe iu dha së pari gjyshit të tij, Janit. Mbiemri i vjetër është Çergjini, që edhe kjo është fjalë arvanite e përbërë nga fjala Çer = i zgjuar, djall me forcë mendje dhe nga emri i përhapur arbër Gjin. Çer + gjin = Çergjin.
Fisi i madh arvanitas kristian i Kollokotronajve kishte bërë vllazërim me fisin arvanitas mysliman të Farmaqëve.
Kështu dy vëllezërit arvanitas me fe kristiane dhe myslimane Teodor Kollokotroni dhe Ali Farmaqi kishin menduar të luftonin për realizimin e një mbretërie të bashkuar greko-shqiptare me flamurin e përbashkët me gjysëm hëne dhe kryqin. Kuvendi i mbretëris së përbashkët do të kishte 12 deputet mysliman dhe 12 deputet të krishterë me barazi të plota. Teodor Kollokotroni dhe Ali Farmaqi shkuan edhe në Arbëri dhe grumbulluan mbi 3.000 mijë ushtarë mysliman që i sollën në Greqi për të luftuar kundra osmanëve turq.
Dëshira ishte që formohej një shtet i fuqishëm greko-shqiptar në Ballkan. Por i gjithë plani dështoi si pasojë i mos përkrahjes të kësaj ideje nga ana e Anglis dhe Francës.

Kur nisi Kryengritja greke e 1821 Kollokotroni ishte 50 vjeç me flokë të bardha dhe të gjata që i binin mbi supe. Ai vishej me veshjen kombëtare arvanitase me fustanellën e gjatë poshtë gjurit. Dhe libri më i dashur i komandant Kollokotronit ishte “Historia e Skënderbeut”.
Në kryengritjen e 1821 u vranë 12 burra nga fisi i dëgjuar i Kollokotronajve. Një ndër ta dhe vëllai i Teodorit, Jani Kollokotroni i cili ishte strehuar në Manastirin Dimicana. Murgu i Manastirit e spiunoi Janin tek turqit të cilët e vranë.
Për mosmarrveshje me qeverinë greke në vitin 1824 Kollokotronin e burgosin në ishullin e Hidrës dhe kërkonin dënimin e tij me vdekje.
Në kujtimet e tij Kollokotroni, me të drejtë do të thotë.
Më vunë 9 muaj burg, pa parë askënd, përveç gardianëve. Kaq muaj nuk e dija ç’ndodhte jashtë, kush vdes, kë tjetër kanë burgosur. Nuk e dija përse më kishin burgosur. Kurrë nuk besoja se do të arrinjnë në këtë shkallë të sajojnë dëshmitarë të rremë.......”.
Avokati mbrojtës Klonari - tha në fjalën e tij.
“Deri kur zotërinjë gjykatës, do të vazhdoni këtë sulmim barbar?
Deri kur përndjekja e pamëshirshëm kundër atyre që çliruan, i ngritën lavdinë dhe vazhdojnë ti japin shkëlqim Greqisë......”?

Mbas disa muajsh kur Ibrahim Pasha i Egjyptit zbarkoi në More, Teodor Kollokotronin e nxjerrin me falje nga burgu dhe e shpallën kryekomandant të ushtris greke.
Por Kollokotroni i madh nuk do të lihej i qetë nga qeveria greke mbas çlirimit. E arestojnë përsëri më 1832 bashkë me Dhimitër Pllaputa ku i dënojnë të dy për tradhëti me vdekje. Mbas disa vitesh i nxjerrin të dy nga burgu. Teodor Kollokotroni vdiq në 4 shkrutë 1843, në Athinë.
Teodor Kollokotroni kishte motër Sofinë mëmën e Nikitarës ose siç njihej nga populli “turkëngrënesi” i cili ishte nga fshati Turkleka. Kollokotroni kishte djalë Pano Kollokotroni(1800-1824) i cili ishte martua me vajzën e Laskarina Bubulina. Pano Kollokotroni u vra më 21 nëntorë 1824 në fshatin Thana të qytetit të Tripoli. Kurse djali tjetër i Teodorit quhej Jani i Ri Kollokotroni(1804-1868) i cili në vitin 1862 u bë Kryeministër i Greqisë dhe vdiq më 20 maj 1868.
